Oreo Cheesecake

Ingredients

  • 24 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 32 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the crushed Oreos and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Press the Oreo mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Gradually add in the sugar and continue to beat until well combined.
  6. Mix in the vanilla extract and salt.
  7. Add the eggs one at a time, making sure each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next.
  8. Stir in the sour cream until well combined.
  9. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the Oreo crust.
  10. Bake the cheesecake for 45-50 minutes or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  11. Turn off the heat and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 30 minutes.
  12. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and run a knife around the edges to loosen it from the pan.
  13. Allow the cheesecake to cool to room temperature before chilling it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  14. Once the cheesecake is chilled, remove it from the pan and serve.
