Growing up, my family would always have a special seafood dinner on Christmas Eve, and Lobster Thermidor was always the star of the show. It's a dish that has a lot of sentimental value to me, and now I love making it for my own family on special occasions.

- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Cooking Instructions
-
Preheat the broiler to high.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and mushrooms and sauté until the onions are translucent and the mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.

Add the flour to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Slowly pour in the milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps from forming. Add the white wine and heavy cream, and continue whisking until the sauce is smooth and thickened, about 5 minutes.

-
Add the lobster meat to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
-
Transfer the lobster mixture to a large baking dish. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly over the top of the lobster mixture.
-
Place the baking dish under the broiler and cook until the breadcrumbs are golden brown and the sauce is bubbly, about 5 minutes.
